North Square Gateway Terrace
Greene-Gutridge Terrace is a 14-unit apartment facility which offers persons with disabilities the chance to live independently in their community by providing rental housing combined with the availability of supportive services. This facility has 11 one-bedroom units and 3 two-bedroom units.
Eligibility for Greene-Gutridge Terrace requires:

At least one occupant in an apartment must be 18 years or older.

One occupant per apartment must have either a physical or developmental disability or suffer from chronic mental illness.

The term "persons with disabilities" may also include two or more people with disabilities living together or one or more persons with disabilities residing with one or more live-in attendants.

Tenants must be classified as "low income" or not have a household income in excess of 50% of the current Waterbury median income.
Tenants of Greene-Gutridge Terrace are charged no more than 30% of their annual incomes for their rental units; rents are based on current Fair Market Rents for the Waterbury area. The balance of the rent is paid for by the Federal government; the project is managed by New Opportunities Inc. in conjunction with the Connecticut office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
