Youth Employment Programs
The Youth Employment program provides youth participants with a 6 week summer work experience for 20 hours a week. Young people are matched with work assignments both within New Opportunities and at the offices of Community Partners. These partners include area businesses, social service agencies, hospitals and City Parks Department.
The programs goal is to give young adults between the ages 14-21 year olds from the Waterbury and Naugatuck community an opportunity to maximize their skills and enthusiasm and gain useful work experience. To be eligible the individual must have a household income at or below 185% of the current year's Federal Poverty Income Levels.
