Mary-Kate Gill is the Director of Elder Services programs at New Opportunities. Her background includes over thirty-five years of experience, and nearly two decades of senior leadership experience in providing services the for elderly.
At New Opportunities, Mary-Kate is responsible for overseeing the agency's elder services and senior nutrition programs including New Opportunities' Meals On Wheels and Senior Nutrition programs.
Within the community, Mary-Kate currently serves on the CNV Senior Services Network, Western Connecticut Area on Aging and on the Human Services Advisory Council for Naugatuck Valley Community College.
Prior to joining New Opportunities in 1984 as the Director of Senior Nutrition Services, Mary-Kate worked for the Salvation Army where she coordinated services for their Elder Nutrition Program.
Mary-Kate holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Human Development from the University of Vermont. She has earned designations as an Family Development for Leaders Certificate from the Children's Trust Fund & University of Connecticut School of Development and Family Studies and Family Studies, and as a Food Protection Manager by the Education Foundation of the National Restaurant Association.
Mary-Kate has been honored with the Cyrus Flanders Meritorious Service Award by the Connecticut Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.
